Hi, I said I’d update you on my problems with Monave. Good news. Monave did send me the order again the right way and free of shipping charges. Good for them. I am glad, because the products are great quality. It’s good to know their Cusomer service is OK too.

Coastal Scents isn’t toxin free. Their make up reeks of chemicals. Smh. They even say some of their products may cause respiratory problems and cancer with prolonged use. Their products aren’t even made in America, they are made in China.

Hi,
I am starting a mineral makeup business in Spain and I purchased bulk minerals from Monave, in order to mix my own shades. Monave claims they export to several countries in Europe, so I thought they were awre of the regulations. I spent over $700. Spanish Customs returned the merchandise to origen because they di not state on the label who was the “responsible figure” in the EU. That is, at least one EU company who got the authorization for Monave’s products to get into the EU. Once one gets it, it’s authorized for all, but this “responsible” importer needs to be indicated on the label. Monave’s owner, Teporah Bilezikian, doesn’t seem to think she’s at fault and I think I understood she intends to call it a deal and keep the merchandise and my $700. I am trying to have her ship it back postage due(Yes, I’m ready to pay for the shipping again), with the right labelling. I’ll keep you posted as to whether she does or whether she rips me off, which would totally kill my business kickoff. In any case, I wanted to share the experience with wholesellers in the EU, so they are aware about this legislation, which is kind of new.
