I have previously written on Grocery Food Waste- it’s not just the consumer who wastes food, restaurants and grocery stores. Safeway’s Corporate Social Responsiblity report stated they diverted more than 500,000 tons of waste materials from landfills in 2008.
Can you believe the amount of Food Waste?
Other Items of Note:

- New Store in Santa Cruz, CA is being built to LEED Standars.
- Sales of reusable grocery bags have increased 3005.
