In 2007, Salt Lake Valley Solid Waste Management processed the following:
1,154,784 tons of waste.
457,842 tons were put into the landfill.
190,764 tons went to The Salt Lake Valley Transfer Station to a remote regional landfill.
683,716 tons were recycled.
The landfill has 550 acres and is the largest Class 1 municipal solid waste disposal facility in Utah.
