Wasted Water: Encinitas, CA June 13

I try to walk every day and usually get out between 11 and 3. Since I started this Water bit, everyday, someone is watering in the middle of the day. I was driving down I-5, just south of Del Mar and guess what! The City was watering by the Lagoon. How do they expect people to stop, if they don’t?

So about 3:30 on Friday, I’m walking along on Shady Tree and Glen Arbor and guess what? Heavy watering.

As I continue to walk along, there are puddles under the plants. None of the pictures came out to show. Flagrant abuse!

Encinitas isn’t the only place. I was driving out of La Jolla last Wednesday, talk about water waste!

almost every yard was overwatered and watering past 7 am. You know how much runoff they had, because all you had to do was stand by a storm drain and listen. It was like being on the water!

Now, it’s not like we didn’t know it was coming. Here is an article from Sign on San Diego last year.
