- Most material can be reused: Wood, Padding (carpet Pad) springs, (scrap metal)
Another hot Free item on Craigs list are sofa’s and chairs: Today there were 12 Free Sofa’s /Loveseats/Couches listed.
Of course the first option is to donate it, although many organizations are not taking sofa’s anymore. Option #2 is to give it away and Option #3 is to reuse by either remaking and Option #4 is to re-position it in another part of the house.
What you can do:
- Remake using Duct Tape
- Buy a Sofa Cover:
- Revive an Old Chair
- Make Cushions
- Firewood
- Reupholster
What can be recycled
- Fabric can be made into purses, bags, bedding, cushions
- Foam can be made into animal bedding, restuffed into other furniture, cushions or even for mailing items.
- Springs can be re-used remade into other crafts
- Wood can be re-used for firewood and other crafts
