Ever feel bad about buying new furniture, bedding and decor and worried that you aren’t supporting the environment? Tired of doing a search to find products in your area?  Try going to Sustainable Furnishing Council, a non-profit group of furnishing retailers and manufacturers who promote sustainable practices.

Their goals:

  • Raise awareness of sustainablity
  • Assist companies in adopting good practices
  • Create a symbol of assurance for consumers

The site offers a retail and manufacturer database- just plug in what you are looking for and your state and the appropriate retailer, manufacturer and a green designer will show up.
