Wasted Water: High Country Villas

I recently attended a Rec Board Meeting at our Condo Homeowners. The water waste issue did come up and supposedly our area has cut down on water usage. I wasn’t allowed to say anything about this issue because I had already spoken 1 time. (we only get one time to speak!) After I was informed that water reduction changes had been made, thought I would record how much we have ‘Reduced our Water Usage.’ What I found is our Association waters almost every night! Watering can start at 3 a.m. There is so much water, that it is inches deep in the street. The sidewalks are soaked and in some places an inch deep.
Went out for walk (about 6 am): Association had watered in the night: This is the amount of water left in Street. This picture was taken a couple of hours after watering was shut off. I didn’t take picture of hand watering by staff on the golf course at 7 am.
Here are some pictures of flagrant over watering! You do not need to water every night.

The sidewalk is mossy from over watering.
This is only part of wasted water! I actually got up at 3:15 am to go look at where the water was going. My next door neighbors had a flood in their driveway. I got soaked just by walking through the sprinklers.
What’s wrong?
1.) We are in a drought situation,
2.) Absolutely no need to water every nite
3.) Most of the water is going into the streets
4.) Gallons wasted due to ineffective watering systems
