Recycled Burlap Bags for Upholstery

Welcome back!

This is creative way to reuse burlap and feedbags! The chair is available for sale at Colcha in Venice for $1600. The recycled burlap cushions is $42.00. Made with reclaimed wood legs and upholstered in European feed-sack fabrics. Cushions are recycled burlap.

    I have about dozen very old burlap feed & potato sacks that are filthy (dusty, smelly, etc) would you happen to know the best/safest way to clean the bags to reuse in upholstery, pillow & accessory projects? Thanks.

    I don’t know personally, but what i would do is handwash them with baking soda several times. Burlap is tough and they should clean up.
